Little Pink Houses For You And Me

I put the Minola Rokkor 58mm f/1.2 lens on the D40X today. I only took two photos that I'm good with uploading here, but I forgot how much I love this combo. I'm going to have to get this back together and take it for a walk soon!

Sunrise Serenade

About a (subjective) thousand years ago I bought a Petri Petriflex V camera at a flea market. The lens that was with the camera was absolute junk. I took it apart and tried to fix it, but I failed spectacularly.

I recently came into possession of another lens for it and decided to give it a go.

The lesson I learned is that the shutter curtain is dragging. It was starting to catch up toward the end of the roll, but that didn't help with the first something like 24 exposures on the roll. I will let a child play with the camera and dry fire it about a thousand times. That might get it loosened up, right?

Little Drops Of Rain

On the 4th I took my Nikon Nikkormat FS and $20 Nikkor-Q 20cm(!) lens and shot a roll of film. I finally developed and scanned it.

I'm good with the results:

They Call Me The Working Man

I took my Sony A6000 and threw the Carl Zeiss Jenner Biotar 58mm, f=2 Exakta lens on it today. You know, for science.

Here are some of the pictures I came up with:

Yeah, I'm good with this.

Life Is A Highway

Went for a walk around the neighborhood with the Polaroid Now camera and a questionable, old pack of black and white film.

Rocket Man Burnin' Out His Fuse Up Here Alone

Finally developed my first Sprocket Rocket roll of film today.

Here are some of the highlights:

We're On A Roll!

I picked up a Canon EOS 50mm lens a few weeks back. I've been using it on my 40D with mixed results. By mixed I mean the results are great outside but kind of suck inside. Partly because the camera doesn't perform well in low light.

Anyway, I put it on my EOS 630 a few days back and went to a park with it.

If it becomes my go-to lens for Canon 35mm, I guess I'm good with this.
