La La La La CRAP La La

This one cat at work accidentally told me something he was not supposed to tonight.
That was basically I had no future in my current job. This I have long suspected, but the look I gave him made him realize that I was unaware of the fact that it was an executive decision made by people who I do not actually see more than once in any given month. He looked at me, saw my reaction and said "...but I realize now that you did not actually know that, and it occurs to me that I was told not to tell you."
Thanks. It is entirely possible that the things were misunderstood, but I doubt it. The manager that the area supervisor told this to told the guy who told me not to tell me becuase he was afraid I would quit. Honestly, I am surprised I got where I am now.
Would I like to go further?
Kind of.
Translation: Yes, because I am good at what I do, and I could do the job better than any of the other Shift Managers at my store. No because of all of the people just above the store manager are always plotting and scheming and lying about this or that to their subordinates.
Ah the drama of working for a major corporation.
