Probably the beginning is a good place to start.
Lets go there now shall we?
All set?
Yes? Good
No? Well, too bad! Stop reading until you are!
Here we go!
I wanted to get up at something like 8:30 this morning. Seeing as how I did not get to bed until almost 5 am saw to it that I slept until almost 10 am.
I figured that would be fine. I could still be ready to go talk to these Army people that I mentioned before.
I called my friend Jessi around 11. No answer. I tried something like six times. When 1 rolled around, I said "Eh. There will be another day I am sure. No more calling for me today."
Between 11 and 1 I got my room mostly put back together, and made myself a new "Turn Of A Friendly Card" cd. I was happy with just that.
The day got severely better from there though!
You guessed it. She called back at 1:21 pm (I looked at the Caller ID just now!). I figured, it would not take too long, and it turned out to be closer than I thought. We got there around 2. We left there in the neighborhood of 3:30.
Between 2 and 3:30 many an interesting thing happened. I talked to one man. He asked me many questions. He wrote the answers down as he went. He asked what I wanted to do with my life, where I wanted to be in five years. The usual stoof that those sorts of people ask. He showed me how the pay scale works out. We decided a bit later on that Gale could indeed do with a few hundered dollars more a month than what he is currently seeing, but that is just a "fringe benefit."
When asked what sorts of things I was looking into, I said that many people believe I should do something pertaining to computers, seeing as how there is not a lot that I cannot do in that particular department. I failed to mention a few of the other things I can do, seeing as how I had no job list in front of me at the time.
He asked me if I had ever heard of some test that has a name which currently escapes me. I said that I had in fact taken the test in question a few years previously in high school. He asked me to remember what I got on it. I told him that it was not going to happen any time soon, and that I would probably be better off doing it again. He also felt that this was the best course of action.
So he let me take some, for lack of beter name, pre - test who's name currently escapes me. He just happened to have it on his computer that wasn't. He told me what to do and how to do it. I said ok. I took the test in question. I emerged something like 20 minutes later and said that he needed to go back into there and start doing his thing again.
He made a show of pushing buttons and looking professional - like. I looked at him waiting for him to say something. He got this look of disbelief on his face. Then he looked again.
Shortly thereafter he proceeded to announce that the score I had gotten could more or less guarantee me any computer - related job that I should please.
Whoo!
Go Me!
I spent 20 minutes messing with this thing. I shall finish it tomorrow (later today? who knows. who cares!)
